Recently, China Resources Recycling Group released statistical data showing that the penetration rate of recycled rubber in pet toy raw materials will reach 8.7% in 2024, an increase of 5.2 percentage points from 2020. The technology for recycling waste rubber is gradually maturing, helping the rubber pet toy industry achieve low-carbon development. With the popularization of global green consumption concepts and the tightening of environmental policies, more and more companies are incorporating sustainable materials into their supply chain systems. Recycled rubber, with its cost advantages and environmental attributes, has become an important direction for the transformation of the pet toy industry. Zhejiang Jiaxing, Shandong Lvyuan and other recycled rubber enterprises have effectively removed impurities and harmful substances through advanced processes such as pyrolysis and desulfurization modification of waste tires. The produced recycled rubber has stable properties and can partially replace virgin rubber for the production of low-end rubber pet toys. This not only significantly reduces the cost of raw material procurement, but also greatly reduces the environmental pressure caused by the accumulation of waste rubber. currently
More than 50 pet toy companies across the country have applied recycled rubber raw materials on a large scale, with an annual consumption of over 30000 tons of recycled rubber. While achieving efficient resource utilization, it has also earned the company overseas low-carbon certification points. It is widely believed in the industry that with the continuous improvement of the quality of recycled rubber, the continuous optimization of application processes, and the continuous tightening of environmental regulations in the European Union, China and other regions, the demand for green pet toys in the market will be further released. It is expected that in the next three years, the penetration rate of recycled rubber in the pet toy industry will steadily increase to 15%, continuously promoting the high-quality development of the rubber pet toy industry towards green, low-carbon, and sustainable directions.
