Recently, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) revealed that since the voluntary certification for "Green Rubber Materials" was introduced in 2024, over 30 rubber suppliers have obtained the certification, primarily targeting categories such as rubber pet toys under the "pet economy." This certification encompasses multiple criteria, including traceable raw material sources, low-carbon production processes, and product biodegradability, significantly enhancing the premium pricing potential and export competitiveness of certified rubber materials. Among them, rubber products from enterprises like Yunnan Agricultural Reclamation Group and Sinochem International have passed CQC green certification and are widely used in the production of high-end rubber pet toys. Additionally, Yantai Gis Pet Products Co., Ltd. announced that all its rubber chew products will 100% utilize FSC-certified latex starting in 2025, further advancing the industry's green transformation.
Driven by both consumption upgrading and policy guidance, the pet rubber toy industry is advancing from safety compliance to green sustainability. CQC Green Certification not only provides enterprises with authoritative quality assurance but also serves as a crucial credential for brands to access overseas markets and navigate environmental trade barriers in regions like the EU, effectively reducing export compliance costs. The large-scale application of FSC-certified latex also signifies that leading companies are incorporating sustainable forest management into their supply chains, balancing pet oral safety with ecological responsibility. Currently, the domestic pet product market continues to show rising demand for eco-friendly materials, plasticizer-free options, and recyclable designs. Green certifications are becoming the core differentiator between premium and ordinary toys, compelling SMEs to accelerate material innovation and process upgrades. This drives the entire pet rubber toy sector toward safer, lower-carbon, and traceable high-quality development, while also laying the foundation for domestic pet products to establish green benchmarks in the global market.
