In 2026, a niche pet consumption trend emerged, with customized rubber teeth-cleaning toys engraved with pets' names and birthdays gaining popularity on Xiaohongshu and pet communities. Despite a 30% premium, the customized rubber toys remain in high demand, marking the official entry of pet rubber toys into the personalized customization stage.
The customization process is highly convenient. After placing an order, consumers provide their pet's name, and the factory uses laser engraving to imprint the text on the surface of the natural rubber toy. The engraved area undergoes passivation treatment to eliminate burrs, ensuring it won't harm the pet's mouth. The malleable rubber material allows for various shapes such as bones, stars, and carrots, with some merchants offering exclusive color options for pets. Many pet owners opt for customized rubber toys as birthday gifts for their pets, while pet stores also use them as member rewards.
Over 30 domestic rubber pet toy factories have added laser engraving custom production lines, enabling orders as low as one piece and 24-hour delivery, significantly lowering the threshold for small-batch customization. Compared to the high customization costs of overseas brands, the unit price of domestic customized rubber toys is generally controlled between 50 and 80 yuan, offering outstanding cost performance. Industry experts note that amid the wave of pet anthropomorphization, demand for personalized and ceremonial pet products continues to rise, making customized rubber toy services a new revenue growth point for brands.
